Overview
The Apple MagSafe Battery Pack is a sleek, portable magnetic battery designed to snap directly onto the back of a MagSafe-compatible iPhone (models 12 through 14), providing extra power when you're on the go. It combines convenience, intelligent power management, and Apple’s integration for a simple, seamless charging experience.

• Magnetic Attachment & Alignment
  Built-in magnets align perfectly with the MagSafe ring on supported iPhones, keeping the battery pack securely in place and ensuring efficient wireless power transfer.
  The magnetic grip is strong enough to maintain contact even while using the phone. 

• Automatic Wireless Charging
  Once attached, the battery pack begins charging your iPhone automatically—no need to press any buttons.

• Smart Charging with Cable Support
  If you connect a Lightning cable to the MagSafe Battery Pack (and a 20W or higher USB-C power adapter), it can push up to 15 W to your iPhone, allowing both the battery pack and the iPhone to charge simultaneously and more quickly. 
  Note: When used by itself (i.e. without being plugged in), charging is limited (for heat and efficiency)—typically up to ~7.5 W after a firmware update. 

• Capacity & Usage
  The internal battery is rated at 1,460 mAh (11.13 Wh at 7.62 V). 
  In practical tests, when fully charged and used on a compatible iPhone, it can deliver roughly:

  • ~60% extra battery life (for iPhone 12, 13, or 14 series)

  • ~40% for larger “Max/Pro Max” models  

  • Up to ~70% with smaller models (mini versions)

• Intelligent Power Management & Safety
  The Battery Pack monitors temperature and battery state to limit charging speeds when needed, helping protect battery health. 
  If the iPhone gets warm, software may restrict charging above ~80%. 
  It also supports reverse charging: when the battery pack is plugged in while attached to the iPhone, both devices can charge, though the iPhone typically charges first. 

• Power Status Integration
  You can check the battery pack’s charge level in the iPhone’s Batteries widget, which shows alongside connected accessories

Compatibility & Limitations

• Compatible iPhones: iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max; iPhone 13 series; iPhone 14 series (including Pro and Max) 

• Wireless Charging Standard: Uses MagSafe alignment for efficient charging; also functions as a standard Qi charger (though less efficient) for devices without magnets. 

• Charging Port: Has a built-in Lightning port for recharging the battery pack itself.

• Case & Accessory Constraints: It works with MagSafe-compatible cases, but may cause slight impressions or “imprints” on soft or leather cases. 
  If you have accessories like MagSafe wallets or thick add-ons, they may interfere.
